Greetings from Paris. I have just arrived from a 3 day tour in the south of France with singer, Cynthia McPherson. Man this tour had lots of trials and tribulations. First, there were many floods in the south. So, many trains going south were suspended. Luckily for me the drummer, Olivier Renne, booked the train in anticipation of the floods. He routed us around floods and we made it out of Paris. Once in Aubenas, we found that Cynthia and Gilles-Marc were flooded in Nimes and would not be in Aubenas for rehearsal. All the day, Thursday, the stage was set for the grand performance not knowing if there would be one. At 7pm the night of the performance Gilles and Cynthia arrived just in time for a sound check. We did the performance and met many interesting people. The next day as we prepared to travel to Nimes, Gilles-Marc called the Royal Hotel to confirm and found that the hotel was closed and not taking any guest as the city of Nimes had turned off all the water to the whole city. No Toilets. Gilles-Marc pushed and was granted the gig and we performed. Also, we were allowed to stay in the hotel but with no toilets. There was a big tub and buckets in the lobby with water which could be taken to the rooms to flush the toilets. Man what a tour. We made it back to Paris with our pay. Thank you God. Till next time.......
